I wrote a song because I thought that it could mean
Something to someone else
More than it could ever mean to me
But no one seems to listen
Or no one seems to care
Or no one seems to bother
No one cares about you life
And that's alright
No I don't crave success
Music's not the life for me
And I just ripped off AJJ
And that's kind of ironic
And I don't want someone I don't know
Asking me about my day
That's no okay
Don't expect me to show up all the time
And don't expect me to tell you when I'm not fine
I tried to write a book
But I had no motivation
I never finish anything
It's such an aggravation
I wrote a song because I thought that it could mean
Something to someone else
More than it could ever mean to me
And sometimes people listen
And sometimes people care
And sometimes people bother
But I don't want to admit it

We Killed It - Anarcat
03:11
|
|||
It's been said a hundred million times before
So I'll say it a hundred more
Because no one ever listens or they think that it's a joke
When someone says that punk rock is dead
They don't get it but maybe
Someday they will know
I watched it go from a movement
To a place where people could hide
They don't care about the ideals
They only care about the music and the clothes
And that's not what any of this
Was ever about
When you fetishize the fashion of crust
You strip it of what it represents
A rebellion against property and society
All property and all society
I guess that I don't really have the grounds
To make this sort of argument
I've never really done anything at all
To help my community
Yet I judge other people who don't
No I guess I really don't

One Last Song - Anarcat
04:14
|
|||
We work together to push this movement
But we never get that far
Before all our enemies push us right back down
And it's got to the point where there's no basic
Human rights anymore
And it's illegal to breathe
So get back on the floor
And throw your hands in the air
If you don't wanna die
But you might as well keep 'em down
Because you're already dead
And we play anarchists and rebel kids
And pretend to know what we're talking about
Smash the state or smash the plate
What's the difference?
And it's one last song before I quit for
The one hundred thousandth time
One last song before I go to sleep
One last song before I quit for
The twentieth time today
One last song before I write one more
And sometimes it's hard to remember
That we are not alone
And our actions affect
The people that we love
And no one ever had a choice
In being who they are
Everyone's as lost and confused as you
And with that in mind I can't believe
We still have property
Or a competitive capitalist society
Built on crushing people's dreams
Or that discrimination of any kind
Is still considered tolerable
How can you judge someone
For something they had no fucking control over?
And it's one last song before I quit for
The one hundred thousandth time
One last song before I go to sleep
One last song before I quit for
The twentieth time today
One last song before I write one more
One last song before I play one more
One last song before I walk out the door
Once last song before I don't have
The courage to get out of bed
One last song before I write one more
